The purpose of this site is to demonstrate my workmanship and experience. It is also useful sometimes for prospective customers to see the process involved, which I have explained with the aid of photographs before, during and after. All work shown here has been carried out recently by myself (if others have been involved then this has been noted). I will be adding more differing examples of my work regularly to build up a broad portfolio of the work I do. I have constructed the site myself (an interested of mine) and deliberately tried to keep everything very simple. I have not used any stock "industry specific images and text" supplied by some well-known website creation companies, which I feel is misleading.

The examples I have shown here are larger projects, but I undertake many small jobs too. I have shown larger projects as they tend to involve more types of work. It is also easier to appreciate that I'm capable of doing smaller jobs as well, but perhaps not vice versa. I tend not to take on commercial work and my ideal customer is an owner-occupier, as generally they are more interested in a job well done because they are living with it everyday. The type of job I enjoy most are ones where the customer wants a little bit of perfection and is prepared to allow me the time to get all the details just right (I do go on a bit about neat silicone joints and uniform tile spacing etc., but if you don't get the details right, the job suffers greatly).

I don't have a testimonials page as personally I'm normally rather suspicious of who actually posts the comments. For prospective customers who would like additional reassurance, I do have many past customers willing to recommend me and some have even offered to allow my work to be viewed (I have to limit viewing to securing larger jobs only).

If you have a project that you feel I might be suitable for and would like an initial chat, then the best time to phone me is in the evening. My landline is normally on answer machine during the day as I'm out working and I tend not to answer my mobile as it's disruptive and not fair to the person employing me. You can of course leave me voicemail during the day, which I will return as soon as possible. If you prefer to send me a text or email, please allow a day or so for me to respond.
